Recycling
Recycling your old Windows, Doors and Conservatories
At JSS Installations, we have always been ethical in all areas of our business. So it went without saying that when the government set targets for our industry to recycle 70% of its waste by April 2010, we were already onboard all them years ago!
And, by April 2008 we were already recycling a staggering 90% of all our waste!
So where does it all go…
Old Plastic Frames
Firstly, we separate all the metal, rubber and glass that make up the frames. The plastic is then granulated and sent off to manufacture new plastic items.
Recently our old plastic was made into new fencing at a nearby racecourse.
Glass
The glass from your old windows is ground into fine sand and is then used to make high grade fibre glass. Much of this is used in the construction of yachts.
Rubble
We also ensure the grading of your old bricks and rubble to provide a strong and ecologically sound hardcore for the construction industry.
Wooden Frames
All the wood we remove is disposed of correctly. Its future uses may be in the firing of power stations or in the making of chipboard flooring.
Card, Polythene and Paper
All the waste that we remove from your home is disposed of correctly; even the packaging that we use is recycled.
Does all this recycling affect your bank balance?
Yes it does!
As the cost of the raw product we use to make your new windows keeps rising. Recycling costs us less so it has helped us to offset some of the costs and pass these savings onto you.
